The PA-XX series comprises waveguide power amplifiers specifically designed for the narrowband amplification of high-frequency RF signals. These amplifiers deliver consistently high output power across their operating bands, making them ideal for high-performance millimeter-wave applications.

To maximize amplification efficiency, internal 50 Ω matching networks are not used — frequency tuning is carried out during manufacturing. This design approach ensures optimal performance with minimal signal losses. Amplifiers are available for the following frequency bands:

  • 35–40 GHz (WR-22)

  • 68–77 GHz (WR-12)

  • 80–100 GHz (WR-10)

Model numbers follow the format PA-XX-YY, where:

  • XX — waveguide flange type (e.g., 22 for WR-22, 12 for WR-12, 10 for WR-10)

  • YY — central frequency of the amplifier in GHz

Example:
PA-12-70 — amplifier with WR-12 flange, centered at 70 GHz
