Broadband Frequency Multipliers (×2 / ×6 / ×8) with High Efficiency and Low Noise
The AFM-XX series is a line of high-efficiency active frequency multipliers designed for compact solid-state signal sources operating in the millimeter-wave range. These multipliers are ideal for applications such as radar, wireless links, test equipment, and other microwave systems where small form factor and strong output performance are essential.
The series includes devices with multiplication factors of ×2 / ×6 / ×8, depending on the frequency range. Maximum output frequency can be further extended using an external passive doubler FM-06-2.
AFM-XX series multipliers can be supplied with a built-in voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). In this configuration, the user has access to a Vtune input for frequency tuning and an f/2 output signal from the internal VCO for integration with a phase-locked loop (PLL). This allows the output frequency to be stabilized and locked to a reference signal.
Integrated input and output buffers ensure high output power even with a low input signal level.
